Surface Preparation

  • The surface of the primed substrate must be clean and dry. Use an appropriate detergent and high-pressure fresh water to remove surface contaminants.

  • If applying over an old epoxy or polyurethane paint film, the surface of the old coating must be abraded/roughened.

Application Conditions

  • Temperature & Humidity: The application temperature range is $-10 \sim 30^\circ\text{C}$ with a relative humidity (RH) below 85%. The substrate surface temperature must be at least $3^\circ\text{C}$ above the dew point.

  • Measurement: Temperature and humidity should be measured in the immediate vicinity of the substrate.

  • Constraints: Application is not recommended if the substrate surface temperature exceeds $40^\circ\text{C}$. Do not apply during adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, or heavy wind/sandstorms.

Coating System Compatibility

  • Preceding Coats (Primers): * Epoxy Ester Primer

    • Alkyd Iron Oxide Red Primer

    • High-Build Alkyd Zinc Phosphate Primer
