400°C Heat Resistant Paint

Performance and Uses

This product is a single-component, heat-resistant, anti-corrosive coating (available as a primer or topcoat) formulated with silicone resin as the base material, modified silicone resin, heat-resistant anti-rust pigments/fillers, additives, and organic solvents.

  • Excellent High-Temperature Resistance: Offers exceptional performance under severe heat stress, maintaining continuous resistance up to 400°C and peak exposure up to 500°C.

  • Fast Ambient Drying: Dries quickly at room temperature for convenient and efficient application.

  • Outstanding Corrosion Protection: Delivers superior anti-rust performance under high-temperature operating conditions.

  • Superior Adhesion: Bonds firmly and reliably to steel surfaces.

Applications

Suitable for high-temperature steel structures, equipment, and components. It is designed for heat-resistant (400°C) anti-corrosive coating on the exteriors of chimneys, pipelines, boilers, ovens, engines, and similar industrial equipment.

Surface Preparation

  • New Steel: Abrasive blast-cleaning to Sa2.5 grade or power-tool cleaning to St3 grade.

  • Shop-Primed Steel: Damaged areas and rusted parts must undergo secondary rust removal to Sa2.5 or St3 grade.

  • Zinc-Salt/White Rust Removal: For shop primers that have generated zinc salts, sweep-blasting or high-pressure fresh water cleaning must be used to thoroughly remove the salts.

  • Welds & Burned Areas: Weld seams and thermally damaged areas must be treated and cleaned to Sa2.5 or St3 grade.

Application Conditions

  • Temperature & Humidity: The application temperature range is 10 ~ 30°C with a relative humidity (RH) below 85%. The substrate surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.

  • Measurement: Temperature and humidity should be measured in the immediate vicinity of the substrate.

  • Constraints: Application is not recommended if the substrate surface temperature exceeds 40°C. Do not apply during adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, or heavy wind/sandstorms.

Coating System Compatibility

  • Preceding Coat: Heat-Resistant Anti-Rust Primer

  • Subsequent Coat: Heat-Resistant Anti-Corrosive Topcoat

Packaging Specifications

Storage

  • Store this product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated indoor warehouse. The shelf life is one year under normal room temperature conditions.

Safety Precautions

  • All sources of ignition are strictly prohibited at the mixing and application sites. Maintain excellent ventilation throughout.

  • Applicators must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent inhalation of paint mist and contact with eyes or skin.

  • If paint contacts the skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If it splashes into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
