Waterborne Industrial Anticorrosive Paint

Performance and Uses

This product is a two-component waterborne coating formulated with waterborne epoxy resin, pigments, fillers, curing agents, additives, and deionized water.

  • Safe & Environmentally Friendly: Uses water as the dispersion medium; it is non-toxic, odorless, presents no fire or explosion hazards, and is safe and convenient to use.

  • Cost-Effective & Efficient: Viscosity can be adjusted using tap water. The paint film dries quickly, which reduces application expenses and enhances construction efficiency.

  • Excellent Infiltration & Resistance: Exhibits great paint penetration, excellent sealing capabilities, and exceptionally strong adhesion. The cured paint film is tough, providing outstanding resistance to both water and alkalis.

Applications

Designed for the rust prevention, anti-corrosion, and decorative coating of steel components across various industries:

  • Transportation Vehicles: Ships, trains, automobiles, and containers.

  • Marine Facilities: Platforms, wharves, and docks.

  • Petrochemical Plants: Pipelines and storage tanks.

  • Industrial Sectors: Metallurgy, power generation, food processing, and textiles.

Surface Preparation

  • New Steel: Abrasive blast-cleaning to Sa2.5 grade or power-tool cleaning to St3 grade.

  • Shop-Primed Steel: Damaged areas and rusted parts must undergo secondary rust removal to reach Sa2.5 or St3 grade.

  • Zinc-Salt/White Rust Removal: For shop primers that have generated zinc salts, sweep-blasting or high-pressure fresh water cleaning must be used to thoroughly remove the salts.

  • Welds & Burned Areas: Weld seams and thermally damaged areas must be treated and cleaned to Sa2.5 or St3 grade.

Application Conditions

  • Temperature & Humidity: The application temperature range is 5 ~ 30°C with a relative humidity (RH) below 85%. The substrate surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point.

  • Measurement: Temperature and humidity should be measured in the immediate vicinity of the substrate.

  • Constraints: Coating operations are not recommended if the substrate surface temperature exceeds 40°C. Do not apply during adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, or heavy wind/sandstorms.

Coating System Compatibility

  • Subsequent Coats (Intermediate/Topcoats): Waterborne Epoxy Intermediate Paint, Waterborne Polyurethane Topcoat, Waterborne Acrylic Topcoat, or solvent-borne Epoxy Topcoat.

Packaging Specifications

  • Base (Part A): 20 kg

  • Curing Agent (Part B): 2 kg

Storage

  • Store this product in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated indoor warehouse. Ensure protection against freezing.

  • The storage temperature range must be maintained between 5°C and 30°C. The shelf life is one year under standard temperature conditions.

  • The base and curing agent must be stored separately.

Safety Precautions

  • Maintain excellent ventilation throughout the mixing and application sites.

  • Applicators must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent inhalation of paint mist and avoid contact with eyes or skin.

  • If paint contacts the skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If it splashes into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
