Surface Preparation
New steel surfaces should be blast cleaned to Sa2.5 or St3 standard. For surfaces coated with shop primer, damaged and corroded areas must undergo secondary derusting to reach Sa2.5 or St3 standard. Any zinc salts formed on the shop primer surface should be removed by sweep blasting or high-pressure fresh water washing. Welds and burn-damaged areas must be treated to Sa2.5 or St3 standard.
Application Conditions
The application temperature range is 5–$35^\circ\text{C}$, with relative humidity (RH) below 85%. The steel substrate surface temperature must be at least $3^\circ\text{C}$ above the dew point. Temperature and humidity should be measured in the vicinity of the substrate. Do not apply paint during adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, heavy winds, or sandstorms. After applying each coat, the inside of the tanks/compartments should be well-ventilated to expel odors and promote drying. If the ambient temperature is low, hot air should be forced into the tank to facilitate drying and curing.
Subseqent Coating System
-
Subsequent Coat: High-solid epoxy polyamide topcoat
Packaging Specifications
-
Base (Part A): 30 kg
-
Curing Agent (Part B): 3 kg
Storage
This product must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated indoor warehouse, away from heat and ignition sources. Containers must be kept tightly closed. The shelf life is one year under normal room temperature conditions.
Safety
All sources of ignition are strictly prohibited at the paint mixing and application sites, and good ventilation must be maintained. Application personnel must wear protective equipment to prevent inhalation of paint mist and contact with eyes or skin. In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and water. In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of fresh water and seek medical attention.
Disclaimer
-
The protective performance of any coating depends largely on the application process. Application factors such as surface preparation and dry film thickness will directly impact the service life of the coating system. Users must ensure compliance with the specified application conditions when using this product.
