Technical Data Sheet (TDS)

Performance and Uses

This product is a two-component, specialized anti-corrosion coating designed specifically for the internal lining of storage tanks. It is formulated with food-grade modified epoxy resin as the base material, refined with inert corrosion-resistant pigments/fillers, anti-corrosion additives, and a dedicated curing agent. The cured paint film is dense and non-porous, offering exceptionally strong resistance to permeability.

  • Superior Immersion Resistance: The paint film is dense and smooth with extremely low water absorption. It exhibits outstanding resistance to oil, water, refined petroleum products, wastewater, and chemical media, ensuring long-term immersion without peeling or blistering.

  • Excellent Chemical Stability: Provides exceptional resistance to acid, alkali, and salt corrosion. It effectively resists sediment corrosion within tanks, ensuring a long protective service life.

  • Exceptional Adhesion & Wear Resistance: Demonstrates extremely strong adhesion, bonding firmly to carbon steel plates and concrete tank walls. It features high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and scour resistance, making it highly suitable for operating conditions with flowing media.

  • Non-toxic & Eco-friendly: Non-toxic, odorless, and highly hygienic. Specific formulations/grades are suitable for drinking water storage tanks. It is oil-resistant and anti-permeation, forming a stable and harmless film after application and curing.

Applications

Suitable for crude oil tanks, diesel tanks, kerosene tanks, drinking water tanks, wastewater tanks, and chemical solvent tanks. It is widely used for the anti-corrosion protection of internal tank walls, tank bottoms, and tank roofs. It can also be applied to pipelines in oil tank areas, sedimentation tanks, and storage silos.

Surface Preparation

  • Steel Plates: The steel surface must be abrasive-blasted to Sa2.5 grade to remove mill scale, oil stains, salts, and rust. The surface roughness should be controlled between $40 \sim 75\,\mu\text{m}$.

  • Concrete Tank Walls: The substrate must be solid, free of hollows, and free of cracks, with a moisture content of $\le 8\%$.

  • General Requirements: Oil and dust must be thoroughly removed before application. The inside of the tank must be kept clean and dry. Old coatings must be completely abraded and removed.

Application Conditions

  • Temperature & Humidity: The application temperature range is $5 \sim 35^\circ\text{C}$ with a relative humidity (RH) below 80%. The substrate temperature must be at least $3^\circ\text{C}$ above the dew point.

  • Ventilation & Safety: Forced ventilation and air exchange are mandatory inside the storage tank; closed or oxygen-deficient confined space application is strictly prohibited.

  • Weather Constraints: Coating operations are prohibited during condensation, rain, snow, or heavy fog. Explosion-proof and anti-static measures must be strictly implemented during in-tank applications.

Packaging Specifications

  • Base (Part A): 24 kg

  • Curing Agent (Part B): 4 kg

Storage

  • This product must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated explosion-proof indoor warehouse, away from open flames and heat sources. Avoid direct sunlight and rain.

  • Storage Temperature: $5 \sim 30^\circ\text{C}$. The base and curing agent must be stored separately. The shelf life is 12 months under normal room temperature conditions.

Safety Precautions

  • This product contains organic solvents and is a flammable coating. In-tank applications must strictly comply with explosion-proof regulations. Smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited, and forced ventilation must be maintained.

  • Applicators must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gas masks, protective goggles, anti-static workwear, and solvent-resistant gloves. Avoid prolonged inhalation of paint mist.

  • If the paint contacts the skin, wipe it off with a dedicated thinner first, then wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of accidental eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention promptly.
